Another Successful South London and Surrey Christmas Party

Thank you to everyone who made it such a hit!

The South London and Surrey Branch of CLAPA held their annual Christmas party in Ashtead last Sunday (11th December).

The party was very well attended with children of all ages being entertained by two of Santa’s elves with games and dancing.

A long-time volunteer with no connection to CLAPA very kindly set up a face-painting stall and spent the afternoon transforming the children into everything from reindeer to tigers to snowy winter evenings.

I was lucky enough to attend and met several of our fundraisers, branch members and those who were attending their first Christmas party with their baby, as well as the head of the South Thames Cleft Service Prof Haers.

Near the end of the party, the children were treated to a visit from Santa himself, who brought gifts for each of the kids in attendance.

Barry Hancock, the branch chair, said it was a fantastic success and was pleased to see all the families enjoying themselves so much.

Well done to the SLAS Branch, and thank you all for creating such a friendly, welcoming atmosphere.
