Cambridge Branch Receive Grant At Annual Winter Wonderland Party
The Cambridge Branch of CLAPA held their annual ‘Winter Wonderland’ party last weekend (Sunday 12th December). During the party they were thrilled to be presented with a cheque for the £1,600 grant from The Co-operative Community Fund, which they had successfully applied for earlier in the year. The money helped to pay for the winter party and the remainder will be used to fund their very successful annual summer party.
Pictured here in the CLAPA vest is the new branch chair, Sam Sanders-Hewett, with two representatives from the Co-operative Community Fund.
The Community Fund is generated by members of The Co-operative Group who decide to donate all or part of their dividend payments to the scheme. Local community projects like CLAPA branches can benefit hugely from these grants, as providing local support through a network of volunteers is at the heart of what we do at CLAPA.
A big thank you to the Co-op for supporting our work, and well done to the Cambridge Branch for throwing such a fantastic party!
