I know lots of people say that people stare at them because of their cleft. I feel that way almost every time I go out. But sometimes, you have to be prepared to talk to people about it. Not just at school but anywhere! Most of the time people dont want to be mean by staring, they are just interested. So why not tell them you have a cleft? When I explain to people I dont tell them much, just that I have a cleft and I dont mind answering questions about it. It’s hard sometimes, but it’s important to let people know that you are happy with yourself and the way you look.
