Wondering who would like to come to a music workshop of some kind, any suggestions would be helpful thanks

He has already told me about his idea for a music workshop, which sounds great! I just need to know how many other young people would be interested and what you would like to do on the day. So post any and all ideas on this forum and i will keep checking it I love new ideas, so keep them coming.

A music workshop?
That sounds cool, but what could we do?
Like, the shyer people who like music (aka me)
Might like composing but won’t want to perform, so we shouldn’t make them do that
And you can’t teach someone an instrument in a few hours
So… I’m just confused
It’s not like the films, we can’t get together and ‘jam’ like they do, it doesn’t work like that *lol*

Well, if u dont know an instrument then the workshop probably isnt the for u, lol, however im sure that someone could be taught a percussion instrument in less than a day, i.e. maracass, tambourine, a rhthem on a glock, xylaphone or piano. or crash cymbals etc. the workshop could be run in a few diffrent ways…

we could get some pro’s in to teach us

we could teach other little kids to get better at a instrument, and, or teach each other etc.

or, the one i like best, xD just jam all day, compose a song, or make a few and put them on cd, or make a like small concert for are parents.

Question: if this is going to go through, then are we going to limit the people at the workshop to just clapa, or family and friends.

yh i think it sshould only b open 2 people with cleft lip and palate and

me and spam think that we should meet like once a month in somewhere like a town hall and spend the weekend there… then if u want at the end of the sessions we could create a show for either parents or public… whatever you think

but we need to think of some ways of fundraising so if u have any ideas plz post a comment thnks!!!!

Just to let everybody know in the development of the new clapa based band…

there was a disscussion at ski camp ‘09, where we developed the idea from a workshop into a band, we have some members at the moment, and some are needed theses are our current members:

Alex Barker Saxaphone and Guitar

Abbey Oatway Guitar

Sam Mills Drums, Keyboard and Percussion

Amy Triangle

Joza Percussion

Other Supporting Members Are:

Lizzie Wise

There may be other members unmentioned however the biggest problem at the moment is fundraisng, so if anyone can, PLEASE get youre school or some people to donate to clapa, ask sandy for details lol

lol, im really bored so… here goes…

this was the first song we had planned to create, its called blue lemons (and sunshine) some of the lyrics may need changing, i am currently also busy writing the song on notation for, guitar, bass, sax and drums as i have nothing else to do today, sandy i hope you like it lol, my singing was terribl on the bus xD, please feel free to make comments, changes, new verses, choruses ideas etc., all will be appreciated, also, some lines may be short, and longer than the tune, because of time signature changes based upon the tune enjoy!!!........

I didn’t read the song properly, but now I have and verse 2 and 3 are a bit wierd… But I’m no song writer so I have no idea what to put instead! I’m just saying they might need to be adjusted :/

I have now got a tune and template to the song blue lemons.... we now need some lyrics that fit a 4/4 beat of approx 100bpm, 4 beats in a bar 4 bars a section with a 4 bar grid template, its not that hard, so please have a try x
